Concern raised for Oilers playoffs as team nears an unusual record

The Oilers have won an incredible amount of overtime games this season, which is raising some concerns with fans because 3 on 3 overtime will disappear in the playoffs.
Leon Draisaitl set a record for most overtime winning goals in a single season this year, a record that shows the clutch gene of this team - and yet there's still concerns.
Edmonton Oilers historically good overtime success may be playoff concern
The Oilers have 12 overtime wins this season, meaning a significant portion of their points is coming from success in 3 on 3 overtime.
The extra space on the ice definitely benefits the Oilers superstars, which obviously won't be around in any playoff overtime. This is raising concerns from Gregor and other Oilers fans that the team may not be as successful without the space in 3 on 3.
A lack of regulation wins is a fair complaint to have regarding the Oilers, who entered this season with the expectation of dominating most nights. It hasn't turned out that way, mostly due to a lack of scoring, power play opportunities, and goaltending. However, pointing out their successes 3 on 3 as a concern is flat wrong.
If anything, the Oilers incredible overtime record shows their clutch genes this season, especially from Leon Draisaitl. The Oilers have only lost 4 games in OT while winning 12 themselves, a vast disparity that shows the team's elite players put the team on their backs when needed.
Just like they have in overtime this season, in any do-or-die situation in the playoffs this year, the Oilers can elevate their game to another level. This overtime record should be a reason to believe that this is a team of gamers, not a team that can't win in regulation.
