All Oilers fans and the media know, Leon Draisaitl does not mince words when it comes to how he feels or what he believes in. The 28-year-old superstar was invited to take to the pregame interview last night on Hockey Night in Canada.
In the opening question he reveals his biggest weakness as a player which led to the panel all having a good laugh.
It always makes me smile when he shows his brutal honesty and knowing his shortfalls and deficits. His overall game hasn't been as dominant as before as he's played 39 games this season with twenty goals and 25 assists for 45 points.
However, with his several 100 points plus seasons and always a constant threat in the offensive zone certainly helps the Oilers trying to solidify another playoff spot.
This season feels different as Draisaitl will be entering a contract year and can sign an extension with the Oilers after the season is over. It remains to be seen on whether he will sign long term or wait out his final year before looking at unrestricted free agency.
But in the meantime, the Oilers can enjoy his offence and even watching him skate at the All-Star Skills Competition.
