Leon Draisaitl drops legendary quote about Oilers playoffs and injury

Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl is set to make his return from injury earlier than expected to face the Calgary Flames tonight, and he dropped a legendary quote about his return with the playoffs looming.
There is some concern that Draisaitl and the Oilers are rushing back from the injury, perhaps to save his bid for MVP, but Draisaitl put those concerns to bed entirely.

When asked about if there was a concern about rushing back from injury, Draisaitl stated that he would play through anything when it comes to the playoffs - but now, he needs to prepare for that time.
Explain ding on his answer, Draisaitl specifically mentioned the last two playoff runs in which he sustained serious injuries that held him back from being his best. In both playoffs too, he was a complete beast. The 2022 playoffs were incredibly memorable as Draisaitl dominated on practically one working leg.
I'll play through anything if it's at the right time. It has happened, unfortunately, the last two playoff runs for us. But I think this is not the time where you tinker with things like that. Looking at the big picture, right? There's always a little pain involved in anything, you can go throughout the room and find everybody with something. I'm certainly smart about it.

Draisaitl memorably dominated with his high-ankle sprain in the playoffs, and again during last year's run where at the end it was revealed he may have needed surgery. There's no doubt, when Leon Draisaitl is needed, he will play through pain and still dominate the competition.
Leon's comments also may be a hint that Connor McDavid may be cautious with his injury and return timeline too. Like Draisaitl, there's no doubt McDavid would be playing through this current injury if it were the playoffs.
It's great to get Draisaitl back with the stretch run of the season left, so he can help the Oilers secure home ice advantage and put a final bid for an Hart Trophy season.
