While there is negativity, Lauren takes on a role to quiet any noise at home, and always focus on the fact there's always much more positivity.
There's misconceptions around being a hockey wife and that's just an easy narrative for people to chime into. People assume that it's really easy. Our husbands are playing hockey, making money.

It's almost insane to think that McDavid could be taking flak from Oilers fans, but it probably does happen - and many other trolls from around the hockey world.
But there are so many more fans enamoured with McDavid's skill and brimming with hope for a Stanley Cup win in Edmonton, and only a few freaks that send personal insults to players. It's the right thing to focus on the belief.
On top of that, Lauren is Connor McDavid's biggest fan when watching at home in the playoffs. Both Lauren and Connor are superstitious with their game routines, and overall, she's become a major fan of hockey and the Oilers.
