Wayne Gretzky Makes a Bold Prediction on Who's Going to Catch Connor McDavid
The NHL All-Star weekend is set to kick off today, Friday the third, in a skills-competition that'll be broadcasted on TV and other streaming services. For those that received the honour to represent their organization they are in store for a jam-packed weekend of fun, but for those who didn't, they are enjoying a nice vacation and or time away from the game.
Or, NHL legends who were once All-Stars? Well, it seems as if some NHL legends from the past are in attendance for this years All-Star game, and the "GOAT" himself, Wayne Gretzky is in Florida!
Gretzky, who cannot be compared to in many point categories and NHL records throughout his career, was asked quite the serious and intriguing question about the future "GOAT" Connor McDavid.
Gretzky was asked if he thinks anyone can catch up to #97 McDavid, and his crazy point totals and skill. Gretzky responded with a player many people didn't expect:
I spoke with Wayne Gretzky last night about Jack Hughes. He told me, "I think he's the only one who can catch 97 [Connor McDavid]." #NJDevils #NHLAllStar
@NJDevils That's quite the bold statement, but if it's coming from the great one himself we must trust his word, and i am sure he sees the skill in Hughes' game that many don't.
