The Edmonton Oilers have had a very crazy season so far. One minute they're losing and frustrated with each other, then the next minute they are winning and everything is all good. As of late, the Oilers have managed to keep finding ways to lose games and you can see the frustrations boiling over in many of the players on the team.

The Oilers have reportedly asked General Manager Ken Holland to get them a puck moving defenceman, and rumours have been running rapid that Holland has been trying to acquire either Jakob Chychrun or Erik Karlsson.
However, It looks like Holland may have another defenceman in mind if he can't acquire either of them. According to Nathan Murdock of Sportsnet, the Oilers have now turned their attention to acquiring Another Coyotes defenceman Shane Gostisbehere.
Nathan Murdock of Sportsnet states Gostisbehere has had over 80 points in the last two seasons and on the offensive side provides so much on the power play.

Murdock went on to say in his YouTube hit that Erik Karlsson is still the Edmonton Oilers number 1 choice at the NHL trade deadline, but if they can't make the trade work, they will target a Shayne Gostisbehere trade. The cost to land Gostisbehere would be minimal, likely a second and fourth round draft pick.

Gostisbehere may be a better choice although he may not be as skilled as Chychrun or Karlsson, Gostisbehere definitely fills the void the Oilers are looking for and was a top defenceman in Philadelphia previously.
The issue is... the Oilers need defense, not an offensive-defensemen like Gostisbehere is, he is not reliable on the back end.
Maybe a move to Edmonton is just what Gostisbehere needs to get his career back on track and could be a home run for the Oilers if he works out.
