As the days until the NHL's trade deadline continue to count down, time gets smaller and smaller for Ken Holland to complete a trade in hopes to compete with other contending teams that have been making deals for months. As we all know, and Elliotte Friedman stated two days ago is that Ken Holland is very old-school, and will wait until the final hours on trade deadline day, to attempt to get a good deal.
That may hurt the Oilers, as star players have been being dealt for months now, by the time trade deadline day hits there may not be much fire power left for Ken Holland to take on. Speaking about fire power, it was reported that the Oilers are reportedly interested in acquiring Patrick Kane and the Oilers reached out to see if Kane would accept a trade to Edmonton or not. No word has been revealed on if Kane said yes or no, but the Oilers did fly out a scout to Chicago last night.
