NHL Reveals first round of this year's All-Star players with major snubs
Moments ago, the NHL released the first collection of players to attend this year's All-star game by unveiling the Eastern Conference roster.
The first 32 players selected to the game will all come from a different team, which is an NHL policy to make sure all teams are represented at the game.
Among the list for the Eastern side, many notable names are missing at the moment. Players including Mitch Marner, William Nylander, Artemi Panarin, Matthew Tkachuk, and Alexander Ovechkin are missing from this collection of players. Anyone omitted from this list will need to find their way into the game via the annual fan vote.
Later tonight, the NHL will also release the opening 16 players from the Western Conference, again being one player from each team.
UPDATE: The list of Western Conference All-Stars is below.
