It's Believed That Jakob Chychrun Has Been Traded to The Oilers Due to Recent Evidence

The 24-year-old Chychrun has been involved in trade rumors for over a calendar year and yet teams have not pulled the trigger on a trade due to the return demanded by GM Bill Armstrong.

That demand includes at least two first round picks and a prospect. One of the first rounders can be a player chosen in the first round of recent drafts. But, make no mistake Armstrong has the upper hand in negotiations.

That holds true since he has Chychrun under contract for two more seasons at a very reasonable $4.6M, after the current campaign. The Boca Raton, Florida native doesn't possess a no-trade clause until after this season.

The reason it may be assumed that Chychrun is headed to the Edmonton Oilers is most NHL players will change their social media bio right before or after they are traded.

This most recently occurred when Johnny Gaudreau was traded. What really sends an even more clear signal about Chychrun to the Oilers is when McDavid followed him.
