Even the best do in fact play beer league hockey is a thing
A player like Connor McDavid would be unimaginable without a rink, since he undoubtedly lives and breathes hockey.
The man now known as the face of the NHL has spent most of his life in hockey rinks around the world, from juniors to professionals.
What happens when Connor McDavid plays against your beer league team? 👀
The TSN's Marisa Roberto and Julie Tocheri reported McDavid was spotted wearing a #4 jersey while playing in a Beer League Hockey game in Newmarket, Ontario.
Assuming McDavid didn't turn on his afterburners to destroy his fellow competitors on the ice, he ended up playing on the losing team, losing the game 9-4.
«I don't know if you get over it, you just kind of learn from it and use it,» McDavid said earlier this summer at the Zach Hyman Celebrity Classic golf tournament. «I think that's what we're obviously trying to do. It's great motivation for us all summer long. We know what it feels like to play against a team like that. Obviously, Colorado was elite. We felt like we were right there with Vegas, so those are good signs. But there's no moral victories in professional sports.» After posting 64-89-153 in 82 games, McDavid won the Hart Trophy and will aim to improve upon his 2nd round exit against Vegas Golden Knights.
Nothing is better than a good friendly match between friends though?
