It will be a very different front office for the Edmonton Oilers with Jeff Jackson taking over as President of Hockey Operations. In his new role, he will look to innovate and push the Oilers toward winning.
Oil Stream in 60:
Is Steve Staios done with the Edmonton Oilers?

This will require Jackson to move around talent, including the front office, and one of those moves includes Steve Staios being shifted out.
Duncan Keith was hired as a Player Personnel Consultant days after Staios joined the Oilers fold last October. Keith's name does not appear on the Oilers Hockey Operations staff page either. I have no information about Keith's current status with the organization. Staios's departure makes me wonder if Keith is still around. Regardless of Keith, there's a void in the Player Development department that Jackson will have a hand in filling.
Could Jackson consider promoting Duncan Keith to fill the player development role now that he is in charge? Although Keith was hired as a player personnel consultant last season, no official word has yet been released.
It is a huge change for the team to lose Staios, one of the best young executives in the NHL until recently.
Will Jackson look internally at Keith or elsewhere?
