Elliotte Friedman Reveals The Edmonton Oilers' Mastermind Plan For The NHL Trade Deadline
Elliotte Friedman recently revealed Edmonton Oilers general manager Ken Holland's trade deadline plans, and it appears he is working in the wise ways of an old-school general manager, waiting until last minute to strike a deal. Waiting until last minute to throw in an offer and or make a trade can be beneficial in multiple ways, one being a lot of players are cheaper on trade deadline days as there is only a small time-frame teams have to trade their trade assets away.

Holland has said he's wary of players who tend to have injury issues, which is why I think he'd hesitate on Joel Edmundson. No doubt Edmundson would cherish that kind of a playoff opportunity, though.
