The Edmonton Oilers General Manager Ken Holland had to tinker with the roster to make some cap space, according to Oilers reporter himself Daniel Nugent-Bowman, fan favorite Vincent Desharnais and Dylan Holloway will be sent down to the Bakersfield Condors tomorrow to make space for Yamamoto's return.

Holloway was the Oilers 1st round pick in the 2020 NHL draft. The 21 year-old has 3 goals, and 6 assists, in 51 games this season.

Desharnais was the Oilers 7th round pick back in the 2016 NHL draft, since being called up the 26 year-old had 4 assists in 12 games and has developed a new type of love from fans.

Yamamoto has been on long-term injured reserve and was expected to miss the remainder of the season but has made a surprise recovery. Yamamoto has 4 goals, and 8 assists in 31 games this season, nothing spectacular, especially to send two players down for...

Hopefully this is just temporary, as Desharnais has been a huge help to the Oilers defensive unit.
