Things haven't been easy this season for 19 year-old Shane Wright. After expecting to be drafted 1st overall by the Montreal Canadiens, Wright would be stunned falling to 4th overall being selected by the Seattle Kraken.
Wright's first crack at the NHL didn't go so well either, having some hockey fans already calling him a bust? Wright will be just fine as the Seattle Kraken General Manager Ron Francis did the smart move letting Wright go play for Canada at the World Junior's, then sent back to his junior team the Kingston Frontenacs.
Wright's been rumoured to be traded all weekend, most believed Wright would be on his was to the London knights, but out of no where the Windsor Spitfires would swoop in and make a block buster deal sending 9 pieces which included 7 draft picks.
The Knights reportedly pulled out refusing to beat or match the Spitfires package deeming the price was too steep.
