BREAKING: Kyle Dubas Has Found a New Home
The Pittsburgh Penguins have reportedly reached an agreement with Kyle Dubas, as confirmed by sources in Pittsburgh. The deal is expected to be officially announced shortly, according to Mark Madden of 105.9.
However, it remains unclear whether Dubas will assume the role of General Manager or President of Hockey Operations for the Penguins.
Previous positions in these roles were filled by Ron Hextall and Brian Burke. Speculation suggests that Dubas's desire for more autonomy from Toronto Maple Leafs' President Brendan Shanahan might have contributed to his departure from the Leafs.
Therefore, it seems unlikely that Dubas would join Pittsburgh as a General Manager without having the final say. Despite his previous statement about staying in Toronto, opportunities can change one's perspective.
