Full line brawl between Rangers and Devils breaks out at puck drop

In tonight's game between the Rangers and Devils, a full line brawl began at puck drop. Eight players were given ten minute misconduct penalties only two seconds into the game.

Before the referee could even drop the puck, the players were ready to settle scores from their last matchup. At the center of it all were the two enforcers Matt Rempe and Kurtis MacDermid. Those two dropped the gloves right away for a heavyweight fight, and every other lineman showed they were just as committed, and paired off with another linemate. Every other teammate had a spirited fight, and as most of the players began to separate, the main event of Rempe vs. MacDermid continued. Both enforcers landed serious blows, but the fight eventually ended in a draw. Even the coaches were getting into it!

It was an incredible sight to see, and right now perhaps elevates the Devils and Rangers rivalry to the best in the NHL.

Even the Devils players were spotted within the penalty box cheering on Rempe fighting MacDermid at center ice.

Their rivalry really ramped up a few weeks ago when the rookie enforcer Rempe entered the lineup, and proceeded to bully the entire league. In their last matchup, Matt Rempe boarded a New Jersey player injuring him badly, yet escaped without having to fight and waved goodbye to the Devils on his way out. Tonight, the Devils got their payback.

Anytime these two teams play for the next few years, it will be appointment television to watch!
