Losing Zach Hyman to injury is a massive blow to the Edmonton Oilers, but also gives them another reason to rally and win this year's Stanley Cup Final - for him.
Hyman has been ruled out of the rest of the playoffs after taking a side-swipe hit from Mason Marchment. Immediately undergoing surgery for a broken wrist, he won't be healthy until next season.

Hyman is an irreplaceable player for the Oilers, not only for his contributions on the ice, but his leadership in the locker room. After losing in Game 7 of the Cup Final last year, Hyman was the first one to say they'd be back next year.

After the Oilers lost Hyman to injury, Coach Knoblauch reminded his team of Hyman's unwavering belief in the group. He's extremely respected in the room, and his teammates want to pay that belief back.

It's incredible to see the team's love and appreciation for their teammates when they've gone down with injury. Hyman may not be with the team, but he's an integral piece they couldn't have made it this far without.
Hopefully the rallying call works, and the Oilers can win it for Hyman. He'd definitely be down on the ice to hoist it, even with a broken wrist.
