Top Oilers insider reveals multiple moves expected in near future

Edmonton Oilers superstar Leon Draisaitl just held his wedding with Celeste Desjardins in France, and after the celebrations, Oilers moved are expected to pick up.
Draisaitl and Desjardins officially tied the knot this past weekend in a wild and extravagant ceremony. Tons of Oilers past and present were in attendance.

On an recent edition of OilersNow, insider Bob Stauffer implied that with many players present at Draisaitl's wedding some moves may be out on hold. When the players return home, there'll be more chances for management to get to work.

In particular, Stauffer has been hinting at 5 coming contract extensions the Oilers may be working on. The list obviously begins with McDavid, but also includes Jake Walman, Mattias Ekholm, Vasily Podkolzin, and also Coach Kris Knoblauch.
The Oilers also could look to some PTO candidates closer to the beginning of training camp, but likely are speaking to players now. One interesting option includes goaltender Ilya Samsonov.
With the front office getting back to work and training camp just over a month away, hockey fans can start getting excited for the return of the NHL.
