The podcasters focus onthe body of work that Skinner has done over the past couple of months and even though they do admit his October games where his worst, it's clear that his game bounces back after he has an off night.
Over his past five games he has won four and has produced 2 shutouts including one against the Kings and the other against the Boston Bruins.
He has only had one bad game during that stretch where he had a save percentage of .808 and let five goals in against the Pittsburgh Penguins.
According to nhl.com, he's had 29 games played, has a record of 17-9-3 with a goal against of 2.68 and a save percentage of .902. His save percentage has risen over the past number of games as it was below a .900 for long stretches of the season.
The Oilers continued to dominate over the past couple of weeks as the second-half of the season has begun and the Oilers are trying to bank as many points as possible before the February Four Nations face off break.
It's expected the Oilers will also be busy when it comes to potential trades and trade discussion as general manager Stan Bowman will have a couple of weeks to evaluate his roster, talk to his scouts and come up with a plan for the March trade deadline.
The owners will begin a three-game road trip as they will take on the Minnesota Wild on Wednesday January 15th. They will then face the Colorado Avalanche and the Vancouver Canucks. Game time for the Wild will be 8:30 PM eastern.
