Leon Draisaitl has missed the last two games with an injury he sustained against the
Utah Hockey Club last week.
Connor McDavid is hurt as well, but unfortunately there's been no update on him.
Leon Draisaitl returns to Oilers practice for first time since injury
Oilers insider Bob Stauffer confirmed that Draisaitl is with the team for practice which is a positive sign, but he won't be back in the lineup yet.
Coach Kris Knoblauch has confirmed that Draisaitl and McDavid both will miss at least the next three games, ruling them out until the Oilers play Vegas at least.
Additionally, Connor McDavid's return timeline is considered to be slightly behind Leon Draisaitl's.
While it's an encouraging sign that Draisaitl is back on the ice now and perhaps ramping up for a return against Vegas, the fact that McDavid isn't here yet does indicate he will miss more time.
Oilers coach Knoblauch rules out Draisaitl after taking morning skate, reveals lineup
Coach Knoblauch did confirm that Draisaitl will miss tonight's game, and also revealed tonight's lineup against the Dallas Stars.
The Oilers will face perhaps the strongest test yet against the Dallas Stars with McDavid and Draisaitl out. Another win tonight would be massive for the confidence of the supporting cast and depth players on the Oilers.
