The Edmonton Oilers are on the ice for practice before taking on the San Jose Sharks tonight, and once again, the Oilers will ice a heavily depleted lineup.

Connor McDavid was able to make a surprise return in the Oilers last game, and he will be able to stay in the lineup for tonight's game - but no one else will return.

Edmonton Oilers announce lines against San Jose Sharks with multiple injuries

The Oilers forward lines will be the same as last game, and on defence they'll gain a reinforcement with the veteran Cam Dineen drawing in after an emergency recall.
Trent Frederic, Jake Walman, and John Klingberg were not on the ice at practice, but Draisaitl, Ekholm, and Kane were - although they're not projected to play.
Stuart Skinner will be back on the bench backing up after returning from his injury, with Calvin Pickard taking one more start.
Draisaitl, Ekholm, and Kane have been skating at practice for a while now, which is an encouraging sign for their returns as early as possible and as healthy as possible. Trent Frederic and Jake Walman being off the ice is a significant concern.
However, in these last few weeks of the Oilers dealing with such severe injuries, depth players have been able to find an extra touch with the extra minutes. It may be a blessing in disguise that's not got the depth firing on all cylinders before the playoffs.
The Oilers will be looking to clinch their official playoff berth tonight, if they can get one point, or the Flames lose.
For now, their priority will only be to get healthy and get ready for the playoffs.
