Oilers minor league goalie could quickly force roster move with incredible play

The Edmonton Oilers' biggest position of need is still clearly their goaltending, and they may have one big prospect coming up in their system with Samuel Jonsson.
Samuel Jonsson earns another shutout, impressing Oilers analysts
In his first 4 games for the Fort Wayne Komets, Jonsson has posted a 4-0-0 record, a .945 save percentage, and 3 straight shutouts.
Jonsson has been absolutely dominant at the ECHL level, and this is after an incredible impressive year back in Sweden too. At 6'5 and only 201 pounds, Jonsson is a monster in the net with lightning-quick agility in the crease.
While Jonsson is turning heads throughout the Oilers organization, their goalies are struggling mightily at the AHL level too.
Connor Ingram has a .848 save percentage, and
Matt Tomkins has an .882.
It could be possible if Jonsson continues to impress, that he could be called up for a test in the AHL as well. If he succeeds there as well, some Oilers fans would be anxious to see him brought to the NHL as soon as possible - like the Blue Jays with Trey Yesavage.
The Oilers should be in pursuit of a proven goaltender to backstop them through a critical playoff run this year, which may take Jonsson out of the equation. However, the Oilers may have a real player in here, and shouldn't hold him back if he can progress.
Hopefully the Oilers will see Jonsson in the crease relatively soon - he could be the goalie of the future in Edmonton.
