Oilers insider Jason Gregor offered his take on what next year's lines should look like when he suggested that Oilers forward Adam Henrique should be alongside Connor McDavid which has caused fans to be livid.

During his latest episode, Gregor explains several moves that the Oilers could make to their lines including Henrique on the first line to help change the look the team add replace some players who may be lost free agency.

Oilers fans are not in favour of Gregor's moves

Shortly after his post was put on X, many fans expressed their anger and distaste towards his ideas, and many felt that he does not have the right ideas for evaluating players.
Many fans have felt that Henrique should either not be on the team or continue to be on the fourth line as he has not shown that he is capable of being in the top six.
Henrique play 22 playoff games, scoring four goals with three assists for seven points and was a + 4. He currently holds one year remaining on his deal along with a no movement clause and a salary of $3,000,000.
It's safe to say that he will remain with the team until his contract is up but was highly ineffective when it came to the Florida series as he had only one assist through six games which is unacceptable.

Oilers have several unrestricted free agents available

The Oilers have five unrestricted free agent forwards including Corey Perry, Jeff Skinner, Connor Brown, Trent Frederic and Kasperi Kapanen. It's been widely reported that Frederic will be signing an eight-year deal with the Oilers on July 1st as they feel he will be an important part of their bottom six.
Other players including Perry would like to return to the Oilers, but it remains to be seen on whether the team would like to re sign him or looked to other players in the Bakersfield Condors to help replace and improved speed and youth to their depth.
The Oilers have many decisions ahead in this summer and currently have $12 million in cap space it's likely many trades or different changes will occur to this lineup before it comes back in September for training camp.
