Hurricanes coach calls out Oilers' Mattias Ekholm for fooling the referees

The play took place the best in a minute in the game with the Oilers on a powerplay. There was a breakdown at centre ice and Hurricanes superstar Sebastian Aho managed to receive a pass straight up the middle for a breakaway towards Calvin Pickard.

Oilers defenseman Mattias Ekholm Trying to catch Aho crashed into the net after the save by Pickard which many felt would be a delay of game.

There wasn't a penalty called, and it allowed the Oilers to regroup and catch their breath to secure the win with an empty netter.

This game was important to the Oilers as the team has been mired by a losing streak that has stretched the entire eastern road trip up until tonight.
