In a recent episode of an Oilersnation podcast, the hosts discussed what Connor Ingram's future contract might look like.
Pending-UFA in a 'show-me' situation with Oilers
I don't think you need to worry about it right now because I don't think it'll be that expensive whenever it comes.
I mean, the best case scenario is what? He is the starter in the playoffs and they win the Stanley Cup. Ok, great problem to have. You gotta pay him $4M, or whatever he'd ask for.

The podcast presented the best-case scenario, of course, where Edmonton would gladly pay Ingram at least $4M, and be happy for it. But that is getting way ahead of ourselves.
The 28-year old has yet to play a single playoff game with Edmonton. But judging from how he is playing and his potential to be a starting goaltender in this league, a $4M AAV is not entirely out the question, Cup or no.
Remember, he has shown the ability to carry a heavy workload, as he did in 2023-24 with Arizona, where over 50 games, Ingram had a 2.91 GAA and .907 SV%, including a league-leading 6 shutouts.
Mostly for personal reasons, however, and after missing almost the entire season last year, he struggled to reach that same level, though he's even better thus far over nine games, where he's 5-3-1, 2.22 GAA and .917 SV%.
He is currently in the final year of a three-year deal at a cap it of $1.95M.
If he continues with his current level of play, Ingram would command at least $3M - $4M over tow or three years and that would be fair, according to most comparable NHL goalies.
How Ingram performs in the post-season is the real question, and where he will have earned his reputation and whatever money and term he'll have coming.
We must wait and see.
