Edmonton Oilers projected odds to win Stanley Cup in 2025-26 revealed by experts

Multiple betting models have ranked the Edmonton Oilers as Stanley Cup Favourites entering the 2025-26 season.
Oddsmakers use scientific methods like statistical analysis and algorithms to set odds, predicting the outcome of a contest itself is not an exact science: Which team is expected to win and which one actually wins is often not the same thing.
According to many sports' betting sites, the Edmonton Oilers have the fourth-best odds of winning the Stanley Cup in 2025-26 (+850), behind Florida, Carolina, and Vegas Golden Knights.
However, both Sportsnet and BetMGM believe that is not the case, and have the Oilers as, not only the likeliest of the Canadian teams to win the Cup, but the top odds across the entire NHL, with odds of +650.

Though the season has yet to begin, analysts look to off-season moves to predict in part which team will win it all. The Oilers', with a deep roster, the league's number-1 rated defense, powerplay and offense, has actually improved this offseason.
With the additions of Andrew Mangiapane, and elite-rookies Howard and Savoie, to name a few, the roster looks to be deeper and more-skilled, if one can say this of team that includes McDavid, Draisaitl, Bouchard, et company.
Add to this fact the team's historical performance, of having reached the Finals in two-consecutive years, and you have a favorite to win the Stanley Cup.
With a month still remaining before the start of training camp, you have to expect that GM Stan Bowman will be looking to add a right-handed defenseman, and make an upgrade in goal. This will only further raise the odds of Edmonton winning the Stanley Cup.
If you're wondering, Toronto has the second-best odds of the Canadian teams, at +1900 overall, according to Fanduel.
Even the Edmonton Journal believes the Oilers are favourites to win. Here's an excerpt from a recent article from Gerry Moddejonge.
'You thought they were hungry this season? Just wait and see the team that shows up champing at the bit in the starting gates in October. And if you're playing these odds, chances are the Oilers don't even have to do anything...They just have to stand pat and stay the course while Florida and the rest of the field gets worse.'
Though they'll face a Herculean challenge of getting back to the Cup Final for the third year in a row, the Oilers talent and playoff acumen is now undeniable - and they deserve to be the favourites.
