Edmonton Oilers linked to one for one trade with Canadiens for goaltender

With the Montreal Canadiens' 4th consecutive loss, reports continue to surface that links one of their goalies to the Edmonton Oilers.
In an episode of Inside Sports, analyst David Pagnotta had this to say:
If... Dobes is playing well... Montembeault starts to increase his game, I'm very curious if the Canadiens are in a position to consider that type of a move; I'd be also curious... if the Oilers may wanna go in that type of direction.
They started to give a little bit more ice time to Sam Montembault...a little bit more control in the crease to show other teams that may look to make a goaltending move.
Struggling Habs look to move goaltender
It's not the first time that goalie Sam Montembault has been mentioned in a possible trade with the Oilers; and with Edmonton in need of a goaltender, it won't be the last.
However, Edmonton requires a goalie that can take them all the way to the Finals again, and win. Montembault, in my opinion, isn't that guy. He has a record of 4-5-1 this season, with a 3.56GAA and .858 SV%. Over his career, he's 3.23 and .897, and 84-89-29.
He just won't cut it in Edmonton. In fact, according to
TopDownHockey, Montembault ranks last in the NHL in Goals Saved Above Expected 5v5, with -0.9. Incidentally,
Stuart Skinner ranks 22nd at -0.1.
Even more absurd is the return that is suggested from Edmonton for the Hab's goalie.
In an episode of 100% max on BPM sports the hosts made this comment about a possible trade:
According to David Pagnotta,
Jakub Dobes' strong start to the season may have pushed the Canadiens to give more starts to
Samuel Montembeault to 'put him in the shop window,' since teams like the Oilers could be interested.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for Montembeault, I would do it! But I don't think the Oilers would be willing to offer that.
Well, I wouldn't either. Especially not for a player as valuable as RNH.
