The Edmonton Oilers have begun this season sorely missing Zach Hyman, but his return to the lineup is now imminent.

Hyman has been sidelined for the entirety of training camp and the freaky part of the regular season while rehabbing his wrist injury sustained last playoffs.

Oilers insider reports Zach Hyman's return likely this week

According to a new update from Jason Gregor, Zach Hyman could return to the Oilers lineup as soon as Saturday, November 1st.
It's possible Hyman doesn't play every game of their heavy schedule next week, but he will be back.
Tomorrow at practice will be another sign. He's obviously not going to practice with any the top lines, because he can't play Thursday.

I've seen Hyman a few times come out when the Oilers were at home, after practice for a significant time working on drills, working on shooting.

It's probably pretty close. Now I can't say with 100% certainty, but if he does play on Saturday, is he going to play back to back nights?

Because Hyman was placed on LTIR, he won't be eligible to come off and be officially activated to the Oilers roster until November 1st - which is clearly become the target date for return.
With Hyman participating in multiple practices and clearing the final hurdle of shooting, it now appears he's fully healthy and ready to go.
Getting Zach Hyman back into the Oilers top six forward group will be a much needed boost to their offence. Placed next to Connor McDavid and parked in front of the net, Hyman will be a key piece to the Oilers' success.
