The Edmonton Oilers maybe looking at Dustin Schwartz prodigy Tristan Jarry of the Pittsburgh Penguins in a possible trade this offseason.

Goaltending has become a hot topic with the Oilers as many people from pundits through fans feel but the team needs a goaltender upgrade Jarry could be an option.

Jarry returning to form after stint in the AHL

Jarry has had one of the worst seasons in his career as he along with the Penguins who have remained at the bottom of the Eastern Conference.
However, over the last four games since returning from the Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, Jarry has been on fire with four straight wins and a save percentage of .930.
These kinds of numbers are what the Oilers need right now as the team continues to struggle through a patch of games where their goaltenders like Stuart Skinner are unable to save past .900 on a regular basis.

Skinner's inconsistency has been troubling all season

Even though the Oilers are currently still well within a playoff spot, the trend is not good especially when it comes to Skinner and Calvin Pickard.
Both players are trending in the wrong direction especially when it comes to save percentage and letting soft or leaky goals that have cost the Oilers momentum and the lead in the past several weeks.
This season was supposed to be the season to win the Pacific division, and the Oilers were on track after their slow start this year. As of late, the Oilers have been slipping in the standings and are now at least five points behind the Vegas Golden Knights.
General manager Stan Bowman has decided to go with the tandem he has, and it remains to be seen on how the Oilers will respond over the last 15 to 18 games of the year.
Hopefully for the Oilers sake they will find a strong finish and the goalies will find their game.
It's likely the team will look at their goaltending in the offseason and a trade will potentially come down as it will be easier to make a move when it comes to salary cap and more goaltenders available to be traded for.
Many eyes will be on the Pittsburgh Penguins as the team will likely sell off or retool with Jarry still available.
