Connor McDavid's Wife Teases New Venture, Making a Statement on Future of Oilers Captain

Connor McDavid married his longtime partner Lauren Kyle last summer, and now the pair are putting down roots in Edmonton by announcing a new business.
Lauren had also just released a new clothing line and business in partnership with the Oilers, while also officially changing her name to Lauren Kyle McDavid.
On Instagram today, Lauren has unveiled a new bar and restaurant in south-central Edmonton. The bar will be called Trove Living, and will open sometime in 2025.
It's incredible to see Lauren and Connor's young family clearly thriving and putting down roots in Edmonton.
The couple got married this summer in a very private ceremony in Muskoka, but have been living together in Edmonton for some time now.
The commitment to a future and running business in Edmonton is grabbing the attention of Oilers fans, especially as Connor McDavid is eligible for a contract extension this offseason.
Connor McDavid's Wife Opening Business is Good Sign For Re-Signing in Edmonton
It's already heavily expected that Connor McDavid will re-sign and be an Oiler for life, but seeing the couple establish businesses in Edmonton reinforces that belief.
McDavid hasn't spoken much about his contract status to not make a distraction, but he has said that he won't be pursuing the highest salary possible on his next deal. That could be hinting toward a more team friendly contract for the Oilers.
The Oilers captain thriving in his personal life is great to see, and surely bodes well for a long future in Edmonton.
With Leon Draisaitl under contract as well, the Oilers should be a cup contending team for at least the next decade with these two stars.
