Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl meeting with each other to discuss contracts

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman was a guest on the Pat Mcafee show and feels that Leon Draisaitl has been meeting with Connor McDavid on what each other's contract plans are.
Friedman thinks that Connor Mcdavid's plans will influence Leon Draisaitl's contract negotiations as both players have formed a bond and have become a great duo over the years with the Oilers.
Both players have accelerated their game with one another and it's likely they would like to continue to play alongside one another for the foreseeable future.
Friedman also mentioned during his 32 thoughts podcast, that CEO and interim GM Jeff Jackson with like the new general manager to be the person who will conduct the negotiations for Draisaitl.
The future of the organization will be determined over the next two years as both contracts will be pivotal along with Evan Bouchard's upcoming deal as he's on his final year of his two-year $7,000,000 deal.
It's safe to say that times are changing and that the lineup will look vastly different as the team has over 12 unrestricted and restricted free agents that need to be signed and only $12.8 million to hand out.
Oilers management plenty of work to do over the coming months but for the future of the organization it's vital they lock up both McDavid and Draisiatl.
