After a game that some analysts called Vancouver's worst of the season, one fan in particular voiced just how much the loss meant to him.

Fan near-tears in heartfelt radio-show moment

This will be my last call for a while. I need a break boys...Something so negative that's causing me to get pissed-off 82 times a year (voice trembles here with emotion)...I have to take a step back. It's too much.

- caller Stu

For context, Stu's call came after his Canucks dropped the game to the Calgary Flames, 5-2 in a battle for last place in the Pacific.
And with Edmonton being 3rd-last in that same division, its fans know something about disappointment, sharing the same passion and hope as Vancouver's, more so even with the Oilers expected to go deep into the post-season this year.
Back to Vancouver. When the game was still in reach at 3-1, Evander Kane was called for an unsportsmanlike penalty, putting his team in a difficult position. Again, Oilers know something about that too, making mistakes when they should be pressing for a goal.
In fairness to Edmonton, though they sit 6th in the Pacific with 25-points (4-points from 1st), if they can swing a few consecutive wins in the next six, they will be in good position to move forward.
And to do that, they will need good goaltending, which in the last two games it has. If Skinner can manage another performance like the one in Florida, it will go a long way toward building his confidence.
He will want to prove his critics wrong, and help his team win games.
Tomorrow's game against Dallas is at Rogers Place. It would be the perfect venue to begin a win streak.

Can you relate to the Vancouver caller, or was his an overreaction?
