The Seattle Kraken have not the season they've wanted, as they currently sit 9 points back of a wildcard spot going into today's games. There has been lots of speculation as to if they'd decide to sell at the deadline, and head coach Dave Hakstol dropped some huge news that indicates they are finally looking to gain assets.

This is huge news, as Alex Wennberg has been one of the more popular names leading up to the deadline. He's a very defensively strong two way Center, which there is a huge demand in right now.

According to a new report from TSN's Chris Johnston, the New York Rangers and Colorado Avalanche are the teams interested.

With Elias Lindholm and Sean Monahan off the board already, there are many very strong teams who still are in need of strong centers. Some of these teams include Colorado, Carolina, Boston and the New York Rangers.

Jordan Eberle, another elite Kraken forward rumoured to be available for trade and connected to the Oilers, is now reportedly off the trading block. Even if the Kraken are unable to re-sign the pending free agent by Friday, the team is intent on keeping him.

It seems like a trade will most likely be finalized within the next 24 hours, judging by the direct statement from the head coach. It'll be interesting to see which team went in to get him, and what the return will look like for the Seattle Kraken.
