With all the insanity going on before the day of the deadline even comes around, one team who has been surprisingly quiet has been the Tampa Bay Lightning. Tampa GM Julien Brisebois has been a league leading GM since his takeover at the spot and has lead the team to be constant buyers for years at the deadline, with two cups over that span.

Everyone knew Tampa would buy at the deadline, but nobody knew who they'd be in on. Brisebois has been amazing at finding under appreciated talent to improve and it seems he may have done it again with tonight's acquisition of Anthony Duclair.

All Tampa had done before this was retain salary as a third-team in the massive Henrique trade, and word on the street was that they may take it easier at the deadline. It makes sense since they are already without their first round picks this and next year, and have very limited assets to sell for a massive trade.

Brisebois still wants to show the team that he has faith in them, as they've been rumoured to be potential sellers this year. There was one point where even Stamkos' name was in speculation, but they seem to want to give it another run.

This acquisition is very good for the Lightning, as Duclair is a player who seems to be very underrated. Duclair does have a little bit of trouble staying healthy, but when he's healthy he can be a very productive top 6 winger. Duclair has 27 points on a pititful San Jose Sharks team and has really excelled in the pat with talented linemates. Tampa Bay has been looking for a top 6 left winger all season and it seems that they finally found their guy. If Duclair finds chemistry with his new teammates, Brisebois could be laughing to another deep run for only getting him for a third rounder.
