Team Canada announces starting goalie, lineup decisions before elimination game

Moments ago, Team Canada took to the ice for practice ahead of a must-win game against Team Finland to clinch a spot in the final for a rematch against the USA.
There was some controversy surrounding Jordan Binnington after surrendering weak goals against Sweden and USA, but Team Canada is doubling down and going with Binnington again today.
Team Canada announces lineup decisions in elimination game vs Finland
NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has confirmed from Canada's practice that Binnington will get the start in today's game.
With razor-thin margins between tow elite teams, fans have criticized Binnington for allowing some weak goals that turned out to make a real difference in the games. Team Canada seems to fully believe in him though, appearing to be the goalie for the full tournament.
Additionally, Coach Jon Cooper didn't say much about the availability of star defenceman Cale Makar before tonight's game. Makar was considered to be a game-time decision after missing last game with illness, an absence that really hurt Canada in a tight checking game.
Team Canada facing must-win situation to earn rematch against Team USA in final
Against Team Finland, Canada will need to get a win in regulation to qualify for a final rematch against the USA for the title of the 4 Nations Faceoff. The tournament uses a 3 point win system, so Canada was penalized for their overtime win over Sweden.
In that sense, today's afternoon game against Finland is an elimination game for Team Canada - if they lose, they'll be playing for third place at the most.
