Sergei Bobrovsky sends emotional message to Stuart Skinner in handshake line
Speaking to the media after the game, Skinner revealed that what Bobrovsky said to him was so special, the Oilers goalie cried. Skinner spoke highly of Bobrovsky's mental preparation and consistency, two areas Skinner needs work on.
Yeah, [Bobrovsky] brought tears to my eyes with what he was saying. I'm going to keep that for my heart.
He's 36, been playing for 14 years, and you can tell, because nothing changes for him. You can tell mentally he's in the same spot whether he lets in 6 or gets a shutout. From Game 1, to the last 2 minutes where he knew that he won the Stanley Cup. He didn't change for one second.

Stuart Skinner's future with the Edmonton Oilers is fairly uncertain moving forward now. After yet another postseason disappointment, the Oilers reportedly will be prioritizing a goalie addition this offseason, which could end Skinner's time with his hometown team.
Stuart Skinner ranks among worst goalies to play in modern NHL history
An .869 save percentage in the Stanley Cup Final is incredibly tough to overcome when the margins between two teams are incredible thin.
Unfortunately, this is the trend for Stuart Skinner. Out of 147 goalies to play 10 playoff games since the lockout, Skinner's seasons with the Oilers all rank near the absolute bottom.
Skinner seems like a great teammate, and he's a hometown Edmonton kid, but his playoff results have simply been nowhere near acceptable.
The Oilers should've addressed the goaltending this season, and now, they'll have no choice to do so this offseason - which means Skinnee may have played his last game as an Edmonton Oiler.
