The Los Angeles Kings took a fun approach to the rollout of this year's NHL schedule by roasting every team in the league, except for the Edmonton Oilers.

The NHL's full schedule for the upcoming 2025-26 season released yesterday, with the Oilers also releasing their games and important dates of the year. Have to say, the Kings had a lot more fun than Edmonton.

LA Kings troll entire NHL in new schedule video, but show ultimate respect for Oilers

The Kings employed a team of some hockey podcasters and comedians for their schedule release video. The team jokes about wanting to play the rebuilding Ducks 82 times, playing Vegas late in the year while their players are on LTIR - but when they get to the Oilers, everything stops.
We don't talk about the Oilers.

Why not?

We Don't. Talk. About. The. Oilers.
The humour is a great approach in a schedule release video, as it draws attention to what's ultimately just a calendar - but creates hype for the ne t season.
Throwing some chirps at opposing teams is good fun, and a great way to drum up some engagement, especially coming from an actual team. They were realistic with their approach to the Oilers too - they've got absolutely nothing to say to the Oilers after three straight playoff losses.
The hockey world loved to see the Kings take shots in their video, and even show respect to the Oilers.

I am loving these schedule releases. - @jeresells

This might be the best schedule release vid I've seen so far.Good joke at the ducks expense 😭 Better joke at the knights expense 🤭 - @NicoleCutmore

This is fantastic. Good fun jabs at many teams. Very creative and fun way to release the schedule. Not shocked the @EmptyNettersPod boys were part of good content. - @CHHoodlum

Now each team has their schedule, they'll begin plotting their pathway back to the playoffs. For the Oilers, the first 82 games of the season will barely matter - but they're ready to prove themselves again.
