Leon Draisaitl announces life changing news
This morning, Edmonton Oilers superstar forward Leon Draisaitl announced that he's now engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Celeste Desjardins.
Leon proposed while on vacation in Spain on a beautiful cliff, and of course, she said yes. For the Oilers superstars this will now be a life-altering offseason, as Connor McDavid is also getting married to Lauren Kyle on July 27th. They just lost out on the Stanley Cup, but both superstars are getting rings this offseason. Perhaps Draisaitl hasn't even been thinking of a contract yet, with this proposal on his mind.
It's incredible to see both Oilers forwards living happy lives away from the ice. Selfishly for Oilers fans, hopefully these two young marriages put up roots in Edmonton's they begin to start a family, and stay long term to play for the Oilers.
All Oilers fans want the absolute best for their players on and off the ice, and especially so for the team's superstars. It's great to see both of them living fulfilling lives, and hopefully beginning a new chapter of their lives in Edmonton.
