It's been a dark and turbulent time for pro hockey and the NHL as allegations surfaced within the Blackhawks organization regarding Blackhawks prospect Kyle Beach and Blackhawks video coach Brad Aldrich. This led former Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville to leave the game. Today, news broke that Beach spoke to Quenneville and gave his blessing to coach again.
This was according to Anna Quenneville, the daughter of Joel and also feels that her father should have an opportunity to coach again. Much has been made of Quenneville's involvement with this situation, but it will come down to NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman to give reinstatement for Quenneville to be behind a bench.
Currently, there are several opportunities to get behind the bench including the Toronto Maple Leafs. Quenneville began his coaching career with the Maple Leafs organization as an assistant coach with Marc Crawford when the Leafs farm team was in St John's Newfoundland.
