Habs head coach St. Louis returns after personal leave of absence
After leaving the team to attend to a family matter involving his son just over a week ago, Martin St. Louis is returning to coach the Montreal Canadiens.
On March 16th, the team and St.Louis announced that he would take an indefinite leave to attend to a personal matter. Later that day, defenceman David Savard said that the team was trying to get the win for St. Louis' son. According to a statement just released by St. Louis, his son suffered a serious injury playing hockey.
It's fantastic to hear that Marty's son is doing well and is on the road to recovering from his injury. It must have been a serious situation to take an NHL coach away from a team for over a week, but St. Louis' actions show nothing is more important than the health of family. Marty will certainly get a warm welcome from the players and fans upon his return.
