Since his terrible start of the season, Jack Campbell has been very impressive in the AHL. Everyone remembers the terrible start of the season that he and Stuart Skinner shared and the fallout that resulted from that. Despite all the good news recently about Campbell, it has come out that Campbell is dealing with an unknown injury.

The injury has not been specified yet, but it is directly linked to a puck that hit Campbell's mask in practice. This is a terrible setback for Campbell, who has historically been a pretty healthy goalie.

The injury does seem pretty serious however, as the Condors had to recall goalie Ryan Fanti from the Fort Wayne Comets of the ECHL. This indicates that Campbell will be out for the next four road games for the team. Hopefully it isn't anything serious, because Jack Campbell has been amazing when trying to bounce back from his awful play earlier in the season.

Campbell had only 5 games in the NHL this season but with a .873 save percentage over that span the team had no choice but to demote him to recover his game. Campbell has recorded a .920 save percentage in 29 games since in the AHL and has been very impressive. At a 5M cap hit these are the kinds of numbers he should be putting up in the AHL, but it's great to see him turn it around nonetheless. Hopefully this injury is only a minor setback and he can get back out there soon and continue to show his strong play.
