The Edmonton Oilers and the Dallas Stars are settling into the Western Conference finals with former Edmonton Oilers defenseman Cody Ceci showing his terrible game continues since leaving the team.
Ceci had spent three seasons with the Oilers before he was traded to the San Jose Sharks last season in exchange for defenseman
Ty Emberson.
Ceci's game continues to struggle in playoffs
The 31-year-old defender has not had a strong playoff as he has played 15 games, scoring no goals and three assists and is a - 3.
Hockeystatscards tweeted the NHL game score impact card during Game 2 and it was clear the worst game on the Dallas Stars was Cody Ceci who was a - 3 when it comes to team defense above average.
Despite his poor play, the stars continued to give him strong ice time as he had played 21 minutes and 14 seconds in game two against the Oilers.
It's safe to say that Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch will be doing all he can to make sure that his players take advantage of that defensive pairing and try to score as many goals as possible do to the weakness of that pairing.
Oilers preparing to receive huge boost for their defense
The Oilers are receiving a big boost on their defense as the return of defenseman
Mattias Ekholm is looming.
With home ice advantage and the team playing very well at home over the past couple of rounds, the Oilers will be looking to take command of this series and try to push themselves into the Stanley Cup finals as soon as possible.
Game 3 will be on Sunday May 25th and puck drop will be add an odd 3:00 PM eastern.
