Flyers and coach Tortorella release hilarious promotion based off his angry press conferences

For the Flyers game against the Tampa Bay Lightning later this month, the team will be giving away earmuffs related to their infamous mascot Gritty. Along with the announcement of this giveaway, the Flyers made a hilarious promotional video with Tortorella's best angry press conferences. Take a look.

The video plays Tortorella's more tense moments in Philadelphia, and Gritty the mascot uses the earmuffs to block out the swear words flying from the coach. It's a hilarious video, and calls back to parents using their hands as earmuffs to stop kids from hearing expletives.

It's great to see the Flyers organization lean into the villainous aura that Tortorella can possess, and turn it into something really funny. The Flyers are still in a playoff spot at the moment despite being in a rebuild mode, largely thanks to the fantastic coaching of Tortorella - the Flyers are surprisingly nothing to laugh at this season. Along with Rick Tocchet and Kris Knoblauch, Tortorella may earn some recognition for Jack Adams this season.
