Evander Kane and the Edmonton Oilers have a long history with Matthew Tkachuk as a rival, and it's continuing with chirps back and forth in today's media comments.

Matthew Tkachuk began this series by actually giving the Oilers their flowers, and admitting they're far and away one of the best teams in the NHL.

Evander Kane and Matthew Tkachuk trade chirps in media comments

Evander Kane started the chirps today with a short quip directed at Matthew Tkachuk, only saying that he talks more than any other player.
Kane's short quip to not give too much attention to Tkachuk is a little shot to reduce how effective he can be in a pest role. Even the Panthers have been praising the Oilers, but at least Kane isn't going to give him too much credit. In Game 1, Kane was a consistently punishing physical player.
In response, Matthew Tkachuk fired back at the entire city of Edmonton. Seemingly taking a shot at the weather in North Alberta, Tkachuk said not too many fans were outside the building for their regular season game in December.
Tkachuk was complimenting the passion of Oilers fans, but also just had to try to get in some quip that the weather in Florida is better in December.
Whatever Tkachuk and the Panthers are saying, nothing can phase this year's version of the Edmonton Oilers. No player is caught up in the moment and antics of the Cup Final, and instead are fully locked in to the sole goal of executing their best game every night.
If they keep up this attitude, and keep pounding the Panthers on the ice, the Edmonton Oilers will lift the Stanley Cup.
