Canadiens player accidentally reveals why Martin St. Louis left team
Yesterday afternoon, the Montreal Canadiens released a surprising announcement that coach Martin St. Louis will be leaving the team indefinitely to attend to a family matter. In an intermission interview that night, Habs defenceman David Savard mentioned that the team would be looking to win for Marty's son.
The Canadiens announced on Saturday that head coach Martin St-Louis will be away from the team indefinitely for family reasons. Assistant coach Trevor Letowski will assume head coaching duties during his absence.
Unfortunately, the Habs weren't able to pull out the win last night, and fell 5-2 to the Calgary Flames on the road. At this point though, none of that matters - all the Habs and their fans are hoping for is the health and safety for St. Louis' son and family.
