Wayne Gretzky is known throughout the hockey world as the greatest player to ever touch the ice, and almost 25 years after his retirement, he's still one of the most influential people in hockey.

Last night, Wayne Gretzky was spotted having a night out and watching the Canucks game in Vancouver with members of the band Nickelback including singer Chad Kroeger, as well as the owner of the Canucks, Francesco Aquilini.

Nickelback is one of Canada's biggest bands of the last twenty years, but have always been controversial as people tend to either love or hate their music. They're best known for their songs Photograph, How You Remind Me, and many other hits.

Meetings like these rarely happen for no reason at all, especially with three oddly connected influential people. Perhaps these three have a plan in the works for an event for involving the Canucks or the NHL.

It's great to see the Great One still out and having a clearly fulfilling personal life in his retirement from playing professional hockey, and that he's still recognized across all circles of the game as the best to ever play.
