The Edmonton Oilers are linked to two more bottom-6 players
The Edmonton Oilers are facing a dilemma. They require more bottom-6 forwards, but their salary cap space is limited.
Although the team is gradually signing RFA's and securing their future talent, they must also consider the present and expand their depth.
As a result, they are reportedly considering Jake Evans and veteran Nic Dowd as trade targets for the 4th line center position.
Dowd appears to be the ideal bottom-six defensive center, who plays with physicality, having scored 13 goals and 25 points in 65 games with the Washington Capitals.
Evans, on the other hand, is relatively inexperienced, having only played 54 games with the Montreal Canadiens, where he scored 2 goals and 21 points. Moreover, Evans could be valuable on the penalty kill.
