In Edmonton, the Oilers are a strong team in their league, while the Edmonton Elks of the CFL have struggled recently with a losing streak at Commonwealth Stadium.

The Oilers and Calgary Flames will soon face off in the Heritage Classic, which was originally held as the first outdoor game in 2003.

The Edmonton Oilers play the Calgary Flames at Commonwealth Stadium on October 29th, which is the stadium that Edmonton's CFL (Canadian Football League) team, the Edmonton Elks, use to play football.

The Elks lost to the BC Lions last night 27-0 moving their season record to 0-8, while having lost their 21st straight game at home. The last time they won a game at home, was October 12, 2019.

Is it time to start considering the fact the Oilers COULD win a game at Commonwealth sooner than the Elks do? 👀

The Elks' poor record of 0-8 and 21 consecutive home losses is concerning for Edmonton sports.

It remains to be seen if the Elks will win a game before the Heritage Classic, where the Oilers will play against the Flames in the Elks' home stadium.

The Edmonton Elks currently have the longest-losing streak in North American sports.
