The Canadian Hockey Community Has Suffered a Tragic Loss of a 17 Year Old Hockey Player
Francis Durocher, a defenseman with the Drummondville Voltigeurs, lost his battle with leukemia, and we are very sorry to report his loss.
After being selected by the QMJHL, Durocher, who was just seventeen years old, was expected to have a very bright future in hockey.
The following statement was made public by the Drummondville Voltigeurs:
On behalf of all the Voltigeurs players, staff, volunteers and partners, we offer our sincere condolences to the family and to Francis' loved ones.
We express our sympathies to everyone out there, as well as those going through similar situations right now, and extend our condolences to the friends, family, and loved ones touched by this awful news.
