Something we should never forget - Ben Stelter, and the amazing tribute held at the Oilers game
The Oilers were hit with tragic news this offseason, as their superfan, and good luck charm, Ben Stelter passed away at age 6 after a battle with cancer.
Ben was the soul of the Oilers' fanbase and locker room over the past year or so, and continued to show up to each and every Oilers game throughout his last moments.
You know that Ben was telling them to "play La Bamba, baby" after the Oilers' opening night win.
All of the fans, players, and front office got nothing but pure joy from Ben, and the Oilers' tribute showed just how much he meant to their community:
Connor McDavid mentioned during an interview that the win was for Ben Stelter, but that is just one of the small things that the Oilers did for Ben.
